‘Memory Stick Micro’ Developed by Sony and SanDisk - Mobile Phone News
Sony one of the largest companies in the world just announced that they’ve developed with SanDisk a new flash memory format called ‘Memory Stick Micro’ for mobile phones and other devices. Licensing will begin on October 3 this year.
The new memory card for cell phones is about 75% smaller then the Memory Stick Pro DUO. The ‘Memory Stick Micro’ is designed with an eject function to prevent mobile phone users losing their memory cards.
First memory cards of this type for cell phones and other multimedia devices will be available in 1Q 2006.
